July 1-3, 5-11 CAA Summer Arts Program 8:30 am - 12:00 pm @ Hopkinton Middle School. The CAA Summer Arts Program is the original Summer Arts Program in Hopkinton. There is never a dull moment. Students create in art, move in music and perform in drama! An exciting journey into art, theater, movement and music for Hopkinton students Preschool through Grade 6.  Fee: $225 members / $260 nonmembers, discount on additional family members.  Includes supplies, materials, daily snack/drink and a T-shirt.

July 4 The annual July 4th Horrible's Parade starts at noon at the Town Common. This year's theme is "EVERY VOTE COUNTS" with our Town Clerk, Ann Click being this years Grand Marshall. Registration is at 11:45AM at the gazebo. The committee is looking for 3 judges. Qualifications are: knowing how to laugh and have a good time. No experience necessary. Keep this tradition alive. July 5 Singer/songwriter Robert Mattson will be featured at ESL’s Open Mic Night, which will again be hosted by Barbara Kessler. Singers and musicians can register to perform at 7:00 p.m., and the performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. Open Mic Night will be held at Enter Stage Left Theater’s intimate studio setting at 30 Main Street in Hopkinton. Tickets are $5.00 per person to listen or perform. Enter Stage Left Theater, Inc. is a non-profit performing arts center in Hopkinton offering theater education, training and performances for students of all ages. This class will teach students how to skillfully use their voices and develop performance and listening skills in a supportive environment.  They will give a short performance on Thursday, July 10. July 19,20 Enter Stage Left Theater will be presenting two 20-minute shows geared for children ages three to seven years old. The first show, The Trial of Mother Goose, has Mother Goose going on trial for lies she told about characters in her nursery rhymes. Juan Bobo and the Queen’s Necklace, the second show, has the popular Juan Bobo searching for a pearl necklace belonging to the queen. Show times for The Trial of Mother Goose are 10:00 a.m., 12:00 noon, and 2:00 p.m. on both July 19 and 20. Juan Bobo and the Queen’s Necklace will be performed on both days at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. All shows, which are sponsored in part from a grant from Target, will take place at Enter Stage Left Theater’s intimate studio setting at 30 Main Street in Hopkinton. Tickets are $3.00 for one show, or $5.00 for both shows.
