JB, Thank you for the question. There is no parallel between the Swifties and Sen. Obama’s smear campaign against Sen. McCain. You have to remember that the Swifties were more than 100 Vietnam veterans who were first and foremost defending themselves against Sen. Kerry’s smear of their service. You also have to remember that the Swifties had no connection to President Bush. In Sen. Obama’s case, the people smearing Sen. McCain are senior advisors to Sen. Obama. And, the people doing the smearing are not defending themselves but are on the offensive smearing Sen. McCain. There are no parallels whatsoever.
