Another Tribute to Dickie Phillips

THE NEXT CHAPTER

by Nancy and Joe McAnulty

In-laws, Outlaws, Family, Friend or Foe.

No matter what Dickey collected

Or whatever monies spent.

It was never worth as much to him

As the places that he went,

Or the people that he met.

When you were in the wind with Dickey,

It didn’t matter where you went.

By truck, car, bus or bike,

Anything with wheels you went,

And you knew the stories were just beginning.

The thing you didn’t know

Is you were becoming part of the next chapter.

A chapter in Dickey’s life.

53 chapters and if you’re here today

You know your in one or many of those chapters.

The good the bad and the ugly

Its still being written today.

Motors, wheels and gears and cars,

Cats scooters and especially his bikes.

What Dickey really collected most,

Was the stories or our lives.

Everyone has a story

And Dickey had to know

How you all were doing,

Even you tales of woe.

You’re a much richer person,

For letting Dickey into your life.

Life is to short to judge others,

So never let his stories die and

Add them to the next chapter

In your life.

It maybe good-bye for now,

Or hold my place and see ya soon.

Forever in the wind with Dickey

Is where we all will go

In the next chapter when its written

We’ll always love you Bro.
