Pawz for Fun and socialization

Nowhere in the manual did it say, "Work for twenty years as an engineer before you do something you love even more."

But that's just what Jeff Williams did, working first at a dog adoption center in Sudbury, and then as a dog companion, taking dogs from his Needham base to Callahan State Park in Framingham in what Jeff calls a "true dog park."

The successes he had at these tasks — bringing a wide variety of dogs together daily in type of dog socialization, showing them love and care, and reinforcing proper behavior — prepared him to bring his special skills and passion together for a doggie care company of his own called Pawz For Fun to serve clients in the local area.

After being in business for about six months, Mr. Williams has made a mark.

“We really feel we are providing an important and necessary service to both dogs and their owners," he said. "The dogs are so mellow and content after a day out with friends because they've been given the opportunity to run all that energy off that can some times turn into stress when dogs are inside all day with nothing to do. This is why it’s a win-win situation where all benefit because a well exercised and socialized pup is a pleasure to be around, and because they are so content it naturally leads to everyone getting the opportunity to enjoy a happy home environment.”

Pawz for Fun runs two playgroups a day, boasts low rates, a double-doggie discount, and offers a “client friendly” program where clients (the doggies) are picked up and dropped off for everyone's convenience. While at the Park, Mr. Williams says, the dogs receive the utmost in care and attention and are constantly being monitored and supervised, with emphasis on the happiness, welfare and safety of the dogs.
